This program is for you if…

  1. You struggle with identifying trauma-informed practices.

  2. You don’t know how to implement trauma-sensitivity into your practice while maintaining boundaries with clients.

  3. You are constantly running your business in “crisis mode”.

  4. You want to create a social justice model to help with internal and external crisis management and trauma-informed allyship.

  5. You are a values-based entrepreneur and want to connect your values to your messaging, decision-making, hiring processes, and also to your extended client base.

  6. You are looking for ways to showcase your DEI-centric beliefs and personal values during times of both peace and chaos.

 The Weekly Breakdown

Week 1: Intro to Basics

We will jump into the basics of what running a trauma-informed and DEI-centric business looks like, and go over the rest of the course schedule!

Group Expectations, Community Guidelines or Community Chemistry; whatever you want to call it! We will set the tone for a space grounded in bravery, understanding, learning and empowerment.

Week 2: Values, Beliefs, & Identities

Now it’s getting real. Your values, beliefs, and identities inform the way that you show up in your business. You will learn the value of a “human-centric” approach in your coaching. We will align your values with your offerings to elevate your small business.

Week 3: Integration Week

Take the time to further integrate your identity and human-centric values into your business. This will be an open office hour week for anyone interested in processing!

Week 4: Business Specific Trauma Sensitivity

When remaining trauma-sensitive, we are setting the tone of care, healing, openness, and safety. If harm is caused or received, we will discuss steps for closure and high-impact relationship healing. In this module we will dig deeper into the relationships we have with our clients and peers.

Week 5: Crisis Management

Trauma-informed businesses intentionally interrupt cycles of harm. A war on race, a pandemic, and continuous harm to marginalized groups are existential threats. So, your values-to-business model should also embody where you stand in your social justice and allyship journey. We will create a social justice plan for outward and inward facing advocacy. Let’s do this!

After this course…

  1. You will have confidence in holding healing-centric spaces from a trauma-informed lens with client and team members.

  2. You will recognize internalized trauma and know how your personal healing journey plays a vital role in encouraging bravery and healing for your clients.

  3. You will identify your deeper-rooted values and integrate them into your internal and external crisis-management based decisions.

  4. You will feel significant readiness in responding effectively and authentically during moments of crisis.
