Why do we use a guidebook?

UNDERSTANDING: It's a great tool for the students to use to understand and refer to key concepts and definitions they will hear and use during the workshop.

ENGAGEMENT: Your students will do self-guided and group activities that will be within the context of the guidebook.

ACCESSIBILITY: It's important to meet your students where they are at with multiple streams of visuals and learning opportunities.

RESOURCE: This guidebook can be used to continue the conversation with professional staff, between RAs, and with their residents.

What Professionals Are Saying.

Bringing Michelle to campus was a great experience. She worked with us on making it happen, which was greatly appreciated! Michelle is not only professional and personable, but also flexible. We had some issues on our end that Michelle was still able to navigate and work around, which culminated in an amazing training session for the Resident Assistants. Their feedback has been proof that the sessions were well worth it and are a testament to her effectiveness as a presenter. I'm glad we made the choice to go with Michelle, and are looking forward to hopefully being able to work with her again in the future!

Michelle was absolutely amazing to work with. Her outgoing energy truly helps her to engage students in these critical conversations. Beyond facilitating a great training she also provided a very comprehensive guidebook that has helped our Residence Directors and Resident Assistants to continue their learning and growth around diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice. I would 100% recommend Jalali Consulting to anyone who is ready to take their training to the next level!
